HSC Exams are approaching quickly. With the Mathematics General 2 test being held on October 25, now is the time to study and prepare. I will be hosting a series of workshops on the Central Coast for small groups of students leading up to the HSC exams.
Workshops will be held on Saturdays from 3pm to 6pm, starting on the 1st of September, and are led by an experienced HSC Mathematics tutor. Each of the first six workshops will have a topic of focus from the HSC Mathematics General 2 syllabus, with the final two workshops before the HSC exam having a more generalised revision approach. Each focused workshop will cover what the students should know for their HSC test, including the concepts, definitions, and formulas. Students will direct the attention within each topic to the concepts they would most like to revise and practice. Instruction and practice problems will be provided and tailored to the students’ needs. The last two generalised workshops will cover any topics or questions at the students’ request.
These workshops are best suited to students who have done moderately well on most topics and would like extra revision, explanation for more difficult questions, or help with some of the more difficult parts of the syllabus. (Students who are struggling with the basics of a topic will be better served by one-on-one tutoring.)
The cost of each 3-hour workshop is $60, or $450 if you book all eight. Booking and payment must be made in advance to reserve a spot, which are limited to six students per workshop. See below for further terms and conditions. The schedule is as follows:
- 1 September, 3pm-6pm – Financial Mathematics
- 8 September, 3pm-6pm – Data and Statistics
- 15 September, 3pm-6pm – Measurement
- 22 September, 3pm-6pm – Probability
- 29 September, 3pm-6pm – Algebra and Modelling
- 6 October, 3pm-6pm – Focus Studies: Driving, Communication, Health, and Resources
- 13 October, 3pm-6pm – General Revision
- 20 October, 3pm-6pm – General Revision
Workshops are held at Apex Tutoring in Berkeley Vale.

Terms and conditions of workshop bookings:
Payment must be made in advance to reserve a spot. There is a limit of 6 students per workshop. The fee is $60 per workshops, or $450 if you book all eight workshops. Opportunity to register and pay for a workshop date will be given in the order expressions of interest are received. If payment is not received within 3 days of expression of interest, the spot may be given to the next student.
Payment for a reservation is fully refundable up to one week before the date of the workshop. The $60 fee reserves your limited spot in the workshop, and if you do not attend (without giving at least one week notice) or can only attend part of the workshop, the $60 is non-refundable in full or in part. Reservations are transferable if you are unable to attend the workshop and would like to give your spot to another student.
If you reserved all eight workshops at a discount and receive a refund for one or more workshops by giving at least one week notice, your fee for all retained workshop reservations will be $60 per workshop, and you will be refunded the difference.
