We offer practice tests and feedback for students.
In our weekend practice test sessions, students can get valuable practice taking their test at our offices in test-like conditions. This helps students to be prepared by knowing what to expect, including the length of the test and the types and difficulty of questions. Parents and students will also receive feedback from one of our qualified teachers or senior tutors on what types of questions they were able to answer correctly and what types of questions on which the student may need to improve. The student can then do some self-study based on this feedback or book tutoring sessions (or use their currently booked sessions) to target their specific weak areas. We currently provide practice test sessions for the NAPLAN, Opportunity Class, and Selective Schools tests. See below for more information, including available dates and times.
NAPLAN Practice Tests
We offer practice tests for Year 3, Year 5, Year 7, and Year 9 on all NAPLAN tests, including Reading, Writing, Conventions of Language, and Numeracy. Students can be booked to take one or any combination of these tests on our practice test days. The cost is $40 for the first test, and $20 for each additional test, per student. Parents and students will receive feedback on each question, including which questions they got correct or incorrect and what area of the syllabus each question targeted. Parents and students can use this feedback to target specific skills or topics at home or in future tutoring sessions.
As NAPLAN has been moved to mid-March, we offer NAPLAN practice tests in Term 1, prior to the NAPLAN test window.
Dates and times
Students can be booked to take any of the four practice tests, Reading, Writing, Conventions of Language, or Numeracy, one per test session.
